The function is a professional, business focused, proactive risk-based global audit team that operates with transparency, integrity and independence, and assists the Bank's business and infrastructure areas to identify key control weaknesses. The GA team prides itself in ensuring the highest standard in professional delivery. The function provides a systematic, disciplined approach to examine, evaluate and report objectively on the adequacy of both the design and operating effectiveness of the systems of internal control and the effectiveness of risk management and governance processes. You will be part of the Group Audit Validation team, reporting into the responsible Deputy Principal Audit Manager (Deputy PAM) based in Manila, reporting to the Chief Audit (CA) with global responsibility. How we'll support you Training and development to help you excel in your career Coaching and support from experts in your team A culture of continuous learning to aid progression What we'll offer you Competitive Salary Attractive Retirement Benefit Medical and Life Insurance upon employment 20 days Annual Vacation Leaves Your key responsibilities Execute day-to-day operational audit work and contribute to the delivery of audits (including risk assessment profiles and business monitoring) implement dynamic planning through business monitoring and plan audits e.g. documenting activity flows of the processes to be reviewed, identifies risks and the key actual controls in place to mitigate the identified risks and attends meetings with internal stakeholders as and when required Draft high quality audit reports for review by audit management, facilitate issue tracking, validate the closure of issues and approve closure of Important issues execute audit fieldwork in line with the agreed audit approach e.g. documenting Activity Flows, identification of key risks, testing of key controls to determine whether they are properly designed and are operating effectively and documenting work in accordance with divisional standards. Partner with other divisional/teams during audit engagement to guarantee an integrated approach review and provide expert opinions on action plans provided by clients, helping them develop robust remediation plans. Complete all assigned audit work in line with agreed budgets, including ad hoc projects and special investigations act as a competent partner and challenger to clients in the closure process of findings and communicate openly with divisional management and the internal stakeholders keep them informed of potential issues and escalate problems/delays accordingly present complex and sensitive messages (such as audit issues) comprehensively, professionally and reduce complex topics to simple statements. Proactively keep abreast of pertinent industry, regulatory and business practices establish and maintain a partnership approach with stakeholders in order to understand their functional needs and reinforce an environment where people management and development is a key priority. Your skills and experience Wholesale banking knowledge, particularly on Investment Banking, Corporate Banking and Private Banking or equivalent experience coupled with thorough understanding of the IIA standards, relevant degree and professional qualifications a plus. Strong analytical competency with appreciation of risks, regulatory requirements and controls generically and specifically to banking. Experience in the use of standard IT applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Confidence, drive and enthusiasm, coupled with a positive attitude and a delivery focus. A high level of personal integrity, as the role may require the handling and management of information related to sensitive (such as personnel related) or business confidential topics.
