Primary Responsibilities:
IBM Db2 LUW DPF (Database partition Feature) setup, upgrade, monitoring and troubleshooting
IBM Db2 LUW HADR with TSA & Q REPLICATION setup, upgrade, monitoring and troubleshooting
Install, maintain, and support IBM Db2 LUW server software and related products, including HADR with auto-failover
Install, maintain, and support the IBM Db2 LUW Client on Linux and Windows platforms
Provide technical support and maintenance of the IBM Db2 LUW database systems to ensure their integrity, availability, and performance
Document and refine the database upgrade procedures following the vendor's recommended best practices and upload to the section's Microsoft Teams channel and SharePoint site
Collaborate with customer application groups and the department technical support groups to resolve performance and/or technical issues
Monitor database performance via IBM DSM and Linux scripts and recommend improvements for operational efficiency, following vendor's best practices
Monitor resource utilization of all systems and tune the IBM Db2 LUW databases as required, following vendor's best practices
Perform space management, capacity planning, and data maintenance tasks for all IBM Db2 LUW database systems, including management of data and log files
Perform database backup/recovery of IBM Db2 LUW databases utilizing Commvault software
Prepare and submit request for changes through ServiceNow Change Management system, as required by process and procedures
Manage and maintain IBM Db2 LUW security via authentication and authorization of users, following the section's best practices
Provide 24x7x365 database systems support of all IBM Db2 LUW databases for troubleshooting and problem resolution, including after-hours and weekends, as needed to maintain maximum system uptime and minimize service disruption
Resource also needs to work in US hours (7 AM CST onwards)

Required Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in database systems administration of IBM Db2 LUW DPF (Database partition Feature) installing, upgrading to new versions, monitoring & troubleshooting, and applying maintenance processes
7+ years of experience with IBM Db2 LUW databases in a AIX and RedHat Linux platform, installing new software releases, applying maintenance patches and fixes, and performing regular database administrator support services including administration, maintenance, and ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
5+ years of experience in installing, upgrading, configuring, and supporting High Availability Disaster Recovery technology & Q REPLICATION with TSA
5+ years of experience installing and configuring IBM Db2 Client on Linux, UNIX, and Windows
4+ years of experience in the writing, maintaining, and supporting Linux shell scripts
4+ years of experience working with IBM DSM, installing, and configuring new releases, setting up monitoring profiles for IBM Db2 LUW databases, monitoring these databases and troubleshooting performance issues
