Job Description:
The Security Architect will serve as an individual contributor and lead security resource within Alorica IT and Global Information Security (GIS) departments. The security architect will be responsible for creating security architecture frameworks, design patterns, standards, reference architectures and enforcing best practices. The security architect will also work closely with other global IT and GIS colleagues, including Alorica clients to provide security architecture guidance and recommendations.
This position will act as a liaison between clients, IT, GIS, and other stakeholders while reporting to the Sr. Director, Information Security and receiving strategy from the VP, CISO.
Responsibilities:
Document and address Alorica's information security, IT, and stakeholder requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure that solution designs are consistent with Alorica's cybersecurity guidelines and within industry best practices and regulations.
Collaborate with Risk and Compliance to review design risks and advise on compensating security controls and configurations.
Perform security reviews, identify gaps in security architecture, and develop a security risk management plan.
Define and enforce Information Security architectural standards, artifacts, design patterns and technical specification documents.
Provide Security Architecture and Engineering consulting to business units (where applicable).
Assess and recommend improvements to the global security architecture to improve security posture, mitigate risks, improve tool efficacy, and balance costs.
Oversee and consult with project teams to ensure adherence to security design patterns and best practices.
Proactively identifies technical and architectural risks, commenting and/or providing alternatives for improvement.
Lead efforts for security technology evaluations, participate in proof-of-concept testing and provide in-depth analysis of the proposed solution.
Ensure adherence to all regulatory and security industry best practices (NYDFS, FINRA, OWASP, SANS, NIST, CIS)
Assess designs, risks and other gaps in complex end-to-end solutions involving a mix of traditional on-premises technologies and cloud native services.
Leverage ServiceNow to track and report project statuses, architecture deliverables, issues, and escalations.
Preferred Experience:
Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security or related field (preferred but not required)
4 - 10 years of cybersecurity experience (Architecture, Engineering, Cloud preferred)
4+ years of experience working with at least one cloud provider (Azure, AWS and/or GCP) and knowledge of cloud (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) offerings
Experience drawing diagrams and other solution designing to reflect use cases, requirements, and business impact
Experience with firewalls, network, end point protection, cloud security, SIEM, EDR/MDR, SOAR, Identity and Access Management and data protection.
Demonstrated expertise in working in a regulated and globally distributed environment
Solid knowledge and experience in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF. Strong knowledge and experience implementing security standards frameworks (NIST - CSF, ISO 27001, CSA CCM, PCI-DSS, GDPR, HIPAA).
Experience translating security industry best-practices, including nonrepudiation, auditing, and monitoring into actionable, real-world guidance.
Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills. Good analytical, problem solving, project management and organizational skills.
Strong knowledge and understanding of network security architecture and cybersecurity concepts.
