About the role
First Circle seeks a Data Engineer to build new and maintain existing data systems and products as a fully-integrated member of the Technology team.
First Circle has two products, namely its flexible credit product and its connect product. However, we are close to acquiring a bank license/charter which permits us to build a digital bank.
As a Data Engineer, you will be joining the Technology Team in shaping the businesses' data infrastructure and will be personally responsible for building the necessary products that enable the company to better make and scale its decisions across the company's different products.
The Responsibilities of a Data Engineer are:
Build and deliver relevant data products in a timely manner with proper documentation
Build, manage, and maintain existing and new data infrastructure
Design and deliver robust and scalable solutions
Write clean, maintainable, efficient, and well tested code
Perform code reviews and pair programming

Fresh graduates and experienced professionals are welcome to apply
Ideally a BA/BS/Masters in Computer Science or Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative focus
Working knowledge of databases and SQL - PostgreSQL and Snowflake SQL are our favorites
Working knowledge of Python and R
Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Airflow
Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical team members
