We will count on you to:
Manage the integration of data from the source systems to master stores and consuming applications, map and configure the data to ensure that the data is stored correctly and will be fit for purpose for any use case by the business. Participate in the design of systems enforcing compliance with data governance protocols and best practices that ensures usability of the data in downstream applications
Manage a team of analysts that support the storage, ingestion, integration and consumption of data in the region. Manage the team's work and capacity, ensuring that the business needs are met and data quality, completeness, and integrity of business solutions best serve the clients and meet the highest standards.
Comprehends and applies quality improvement concepts including data profiling, root cause analysis and continuous quality improvement to ensure the function is operating efficiently and innovatively. Liaise with other database stewards to align data storage in the region with global standards
Initiates independent analysis projects and oversees team research projects across a broad range of reference information to test existing systems and search for areas of improvement
Manages the resolution of complex data quality issues, documents the issue and the resolution path for future knowledge and to discover best-practices
Collaborates and frequently communicates with the business, IT and other peers in International and other regions to ensure the value of the data and reference material is maximized
Assist other peers in the Asia Data team in the extraction of data from central storage warehouses that may be required for building dashboards and other analyses that may be required by the business
Conducts training sessions with internal colleagues so that they are equipped with new knowledge and skills to remain current
What you need to have:
Demonstrable experience in data management, mapping and coding
Solid experience in managing projects and clients, and in people management
Proficient in using SQL, Python, Oracle Database, Business Objects (BO)
Extensive exposure in Cloud and Servers
Familiar with insurance policies and governance protocols in data capturing
What makes you stand out:
Strong background in data warehousing and visualization
Preferably someone who has experience in insurance/insurance brokerage or multinational firms
Self-motivated - someone who has an adventurous spirit, desires to be part of a team who do a lot of pioneering work and implementing new systems across the region
Communication - ability to identify and tailor communication styles in dealing with multicultural stakeholders to meet expectations
