The Cybersecurity Engineer will help design and implement high-tech solutions, policies, and procedures to protect the organization against cyber threats and vulnerabilities. They have to be analytical and detail-oriented, with experience in different cybersecurity methodologies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement and manage security measures to defend against hacking, malware, ransomware, and other forms of cybercrime
Plan upgrades and recommend cybersecurity solutions as needed
Contribute to and develop organization-appropriate policies and procedures that are in line with known best practices
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures to keep sensitive information and equipment safe and secure
Monitor systems and networks to mitigate threats as soon as they are detected
Report any behavior or risk that can jeopardize the security of the company
Respond to any suspected cybersecurity incident or system breach
Troubleshoot security and network issues as they come up
Perform internal penetration tests and vulnerability assessments
Assist in running effective cybersecurity campaigns like phishing simulations and security awareness seminars
Prepare and present reports based on findings from investigations conducted surrounding cybersecurity incidents
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related qualification
At least three (3) years of hands-on work experience in the field of cybersecurity (intrusion detection, incident response, computer forensics, etc.)
Experience with programming/scripting languages
Outstanding problem-solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, and confidentiality
Ability to successfully multitask while working independently or within a group in a fast-paced environment
