Position Summary:
The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for assisting with the ongoing operations of the company's cybersecurity program and associated controls. This position is tasked with providing technical expertise for all security concerns related to IT infrastructure and business applications. Works closely with various teams in the Information Technology department as well as business units throughout the company to ensure that IT infrastructure maintains strong, effective, and compliant security controls.
Responsibilities
Proactively monitor the environment to detect and mitigate cybersecurity-related issues before they occur.
Perform reviews of information systems and processes to maintain security and correct compliance violations, as well as reporting on the status of the security program.
Provides technical expertise regarding security-related concepts to teams within the Information Technology Department as well as the entire business, including promoting security awareness.
Assess and implement new security technologies that may improve or enhance the company's security program and posture.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, or any relevant industry experience and certifications
3+ years' of experience in a security analyst or related position
An industry recognized cybersecurity certification such as: Security+, CySA+, CASP+, CISM, CEH, GSEC, CISSP
Technical knowledge of security principles related to IT infrastructure including endpoints, networks, processes, and procedures
Extensive experience with Microsoft's enterprise technology platform including Active Directory, Azure, Office365, and Windows server and desktop operating systems
Working experience with enterprise-level products related to security monitoring, antivirus, data loss prevention, vulnerability management, SIEM, SSO/MFA, and change control
Strong verbal and written communications skills, along with the ability to articulate security-related concepts to both technical and non-technical staff
Established experience with security and compliance frameworks such as ISO, NIST, and COBIT
Proficient in problem solving, troubleshooting, reporting, and forensic activities
