The Cyber Security Specialist consultant, you will provide expert guidance and services to our clients, helping them identify and address vulnerabilities in their systems, networks, and applications. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct offensive security assessments, penetration testing, and ethical hacking activities to uncover potential risks and provide actionable recommendations for enhancing their security posture.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct comprehensive offensive security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments on clients networks, systems, and applications to identify security weaknesses and potential vulnerabilities.
Develop and execute tailored attack strategies and methodologies to simulate real-world threats and evaluate the effectiveness of clients security controls and incident response procedures.
Perform in-depth security testing, including web application testing, network scanning, social engineering, wireless security assessments, and phishing simulations, to assess the overall security posture of clients infrastructure.
Collaborate with clients to analyze and prioritize identified vulnerabilities, providing clear and actionable recommendations for remediation.
Stay up-to-date with the latest offensive security tools, techniques, and trends, and apply that knowledge to enhance clients defensive capabilities.
Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation outlining the findings from security assessments, including identified vulnerabilities, risk levels, and recommended remediation actions.
Provide expert guidance and support to clients in implementing remediation measures, configuring security systems, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Collaborate with clients development teams to perform secure code reviews and provide guidance on implementing secure coding practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Conduct security awareness training and workshops for clients employees to foster a culture of security awareness and adherence to best practices.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic recommendations and insights to improve their overall security posture and risk management capabilities.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional), CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), or similar are highly desirable.
Proven experience working as a Cyber Security Specialist (Offensive), conducting penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security audits for diverse clients.
Strong knowledge of offensive security methodologies, tools, and frameworks, including but not limited to Kali Linux, Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Wireshark, etc.
Experience in conducting security assessments in various industries and complex environments, understanding their unique challenges and compliance requirements.
Deep understanding of common security vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and their exploitation techniques.
Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or PowerShell.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically about complex security issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, understand their needs, and present findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritize work effectively in a dynamic consulting environment.
