Summary:
Ensure lodging customs entries for shipments that are imported, exported or transshipped through DHL. In lodging this entry, the Broker will ensure that the entry is performed in a timely manner in accordance to DHL performance standards (e.g. COA and BOS) and that both the regulatory compliance requirements and the instructions of customers (if any) are met.
Accountabilities:
DHL Customers
Portray a professional, courteous and helpful attitude in all dealings with internal and external customers
Provide technical advice on customs related matters to customers (internal and external), including solutions design inputs for new DHL products
Customs Clearance Manager or Supervisor
Assist in the preparation of clearance-related reports as assigned by the Customs Clearance Supervisor or Manager
Assist as required by clearance management to prepare for TSP certification, and ensure that compliance is maintained
Carry out any task that is required by his or her superiors from time to time.
Imports Department, Customer Service, Sales, Finance, Operations
Provide DHL finance department with guidelines in relation to the payment and collection of duties and taxes
Assist other departments with technical advice or presentations as required
Customs Authorities, Tax Office, External Customs Brokers, TAGS
Liaise with Customs to resolve disputes / claims / queries.
YOUR PROFILE:
Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, resourcefulness and empathy.
Analyzes and resolves complex cross-functional issues.
Well-developed relationship skills and ability to network with multiple levels of an organization and other business units​.
Experience in customs clearance and International freight environments.
Customs Broker license
