Position Summary:
Provide basic customer service and promote sales growth through specific inside sales activities, account management and value-added services for the geographical location for which CSR is assigned. May have limited authority to offer discounts to resolve inquiries regarding damaged, late or incorrect shipments of company products. Uses computer software to check order information, determine availability of products and provide a quote. Refers unusual or complex problems to CSR II, SME or Supervisor for resolution.
Major Responsibilities:
Primary customer contact through verbal and/or written methods; Handle faxed, emailed, chat and verbal order entry with a high level of accuracy and efficiency;
Process phone and written inquiries for information on product design, application, technical information, price, availability, terms and condition of sale;
Develop thorough knowledge of customers, including their products, (customer drawings, when applicable) personnel, buying habits, their degree of importance, customer classification and any other important considerations
Product Information Support: Offers alternative/suggestive selling and product interchanges and provides basic catalog information to other CSR's, and customers.
Process all requests for order maintenance on cancellations, delays, accelerations, quantity changes and return goods authorization after analysis of customer situation.
Keep current on product design changes, customer and representative reassignments; Strive for continued improvement of departmental procedures and processes;
Develop a close association with Sales Managers, field representatives and product group personnel to gain all pertinent information about customers;
Maintain strong and cordial relations with co-workers, interfacing with Engineering, Pricing, Marketing, Credit and Collections, e-Commerce, Product Support, Quality, Planners, and Shipping to assist with customer applications and inquiries;
Protect Regal Rexnord accountability by ensuring distributors, orders and shipments are trade-compliant based on ITC guidelines.
Maintains and updates all records of customer profile information on CRM or other central repository.
Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
4 Year College Degree
Technical degree / background, optional
Customer Service Experience (optional)
PC skills: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access, E-mail/Outlook, Internet/Intranet for business functions
Attention to detail;
Time management skills;
Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
Above average spoken and written communication skills
Ability to manage several tasks/projects simultaneously
