Our Cebu, Philippines Team is growing, launching an exciting new product line focused on virtualized care and patient advocacy. We are looking for a proven and experienced Clinical Operations Manager to join our Helpware team to be a part of the leadership team responsible for launching this new line of business for Helpware.
Position Overview:
Nursing has evolved over the past few decades. The commonly perceived view of the nurse at the bedside, monitoring a patient’s vital signs or assisting physicians during rounds, has changed. With the advent of new digital technologies in health care, such as telehealth and remote monitoring tools, today’s nurses can literally provide care, guidance, and support to their patients from anywhere in the world.
As part of our Care6s team, our Wellness Partners support clients by acting as a remote, surrogate caregiver and friend when family members or loved ones can’t be present. It can give family and friends the peace of mind that their loved one is getting the attention he or she deserves, the companionship they desire, and the care they need to remain safe at home.
The Wellness Partner will hold scheduled appointments with patients that are conversational in nature but geared toward collecting information about the individual’s state of health and well-being.
Primary Responsibilities:
Be the patient expert and advocate, understanding patient profile and needs ahead of contacting the patient
Provide a caring, patient, listening ear; recording key patient input into a database
Conduct patient assessment, education, and when needed, crisis intervention
Utilize prescribed care protocols combined with utilizing formal education to guide discussions, recording all actions given and taken by the patient into the database.
When required, monitor patient vitals such as oxygen levels, heart rate, respiration, blood glucose, and more as prescribed within each individual patient profile.
Make recommendations within each patient profile, drawing from education and prior experience (example, “Mrs. Smith seemed short of breath, but not emergent. Suggest acquiring pulse oximeter for at-home oxygen readings which we can record daily.”)
Follow escalation procedures, when required
Uphold all patient information privacy guidelines including HIPAA compliance
Develop creative solutions to problems that may not have immediate technology solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
Applicant must possess at least a Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Nursing.
2+ years of relevant experience in health administration, nursing, or health management is required.
Two+ years of previous experience in a BPO/Call Center environment
Strong verbal and written communication - English
Strong analytical skills
Strong planning and organizational skills
Strong computer skills and comfortable with technology
Handle ambiguity well
