CREDIT ANALYST
 
Job Summary:
 
SNDC Credit Analyst is responsible for determining the overall credit worthiness of the individual or organization applying for a loan to ensure that all credit criteria and policies are met and addressed. The Credit Analyst is responsible for reviewing, assessing, and analyzing the financial capacity/capability and inherent risks of the applicant based on the provided information and to ensure it is operating in line with the company's risk, credit policies and criteria and requirements. This includes, but is not limited to:
 
Duties / Responsibilities:
Reviewing and further gathering information about clients specifically income and expenses
Reading financial documents, briefings ( such as but not limited to SOA, FS, financial records, pay slips and projections etc.)
Assessing, analyzing and interpreting financial information
Undertaking risk analysis
Keeping company credit exposures within set risk bearing limits
Reviewing and validating loan application forms endorsed by the Field Team/FS/CCO and approving based on Credit Approval Matrix.
Applying company credit-scoring systems/parameters
Develop statistical models
Keeping knowledge of key issues up-to-date (for example legal, market risk and compliance issues)
Helping to enhance the quality of credit applications
Making recommendations about procedural/policy changes.

Excellent analytical skills and sound business acumen
Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the company's products, solutions, and proprietary information.
Strong to Excellent Excel Skills and Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 1year of experience handling credit assessment,
Equivalent Experience in finance, accounting, Credit Operations will be entertained.
Track Record of Achieving Targets consistently
Bachelor's degree preferred (but not a MUST) in Accounting, Finance, Economics Business Management, Engineering however Equivalent in Experience in related fields will be considered
Previous Role in Credit, Risk, Finance, Accounting is a PLUS
