Cost Engineer (global support)Cebu Mitsumi, Inc.

The Cost Estimator/Engineer position will work in the Cost Management Group and reports to the Cost Manager. This position is required to develop cost estimates for components, subassemblies, and finished goods for N.A. production of automotive parts.
Duties/Responsibilities:
This position works closely with the Sales Group to maintain the cost/price ratios needed for profit margins.
This position is required to maintain part cost internal and external databases, i.e.: QMS, JDE, eQuote etc., and work closely with plant side Accounting, Purchasing and Engineering Groups to develop accurate cost information.
Duties will include working with Excel spreadsheets, developing and tracking schedules, i.e.: internal CDF (Cost Detail Form).
Associate is responsible for developing material for the cost evaluation meetings and working with Sales Group to report this data during the MP Evaluation meetings with upper management.
Assist with training of new associates coming into the Sales Group.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Bachelor of Science in Business, Mathematics or Engineering Technology & Management.
0 to 2 years of Automotive/OEM experience.
Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn new products and procedures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them within the team when appropriate.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete projects.
It is expected that the associate will perform in a professional manner and always present an image as such.
To work at a computer desk for 8 to 10 hours per day. Requiring the ability to concentrate on work to perform the appropriate analysis.
To travel to the plants to conduct studies and collect data. Requiring the ability to navigate through the plant to different production locations to collect data.
The ability to concentrate on a project and complete it on their own and to be a team player within the Sales organization.
Positive personality is a requirement.
