JOB OBJECTIVES:
Responsible for Cost Accounting. Collects and analyzes financial information related to item/product costing, seeking ways to improve/decrease the cost of necessary project/production/activity.
Avert inventory obsolescence
Zero to no penalty/s, or minimize additional costs on all imported products and materials
Provide insights on areas of inventory forecasting, planning and control to improve and ensure related objectives are met or carried out.
Introduce improvements on processes
Report and coordinate with AssCos and Group Purchasing (GPA) as needed
Prepare all necessary reports related to cost and margin analysis
Perform task based on KPI
Assist another task in the department when needed
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY:
Costing & Inventory
Validation of computed customs duties
Monitor and follow-up submission of broker's billing and all related charges for recording as part of inventory cost
Analyze cost of RMPM usage based on actual billing
Compute standard inventory cost as basis of determining the suggested selling price
Prepare cost benefit analysis in evaluating options, as needed including, but not limited to:
Unexpected order or production of items due to newly developed business
Demand surge
Supply limitation
Business Continuity Plan
Update of Costing Template in a quarterly basis or as needed
Coordinates with the Demand Planner and Purchasing for costing of both local and imported items
Participate in the physical inventory count; quarterly, half-yearly and year-end
Perform other tasks which may be assigned provided it is related and relevant to the general function of costing analyst
System (Sage 300 Advance) Recording & Reports
Recording of Receipts and Assemblies
Recording of Cost Adjustments, as needed
Recording of Debit Memo (DM); related to charges to suppliers
Monthly generation and analysis of Inventory Valuation Report versus General Ledger posting
Monthly analysis of Assembly Cost entries
Other reports related to costing, as needed
