Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure works being undertaken by the Contractor meet the Employer's Requirements and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Contract.
Prepare weekly report on contractual issues/concerns and other reports needed by the Department throughout the project life cycle.
Supervise requirements relevant to Taking-Over of works, Substantial Completion, and Performance Certificate.
Ensure that the determination and submission of contractor's contractual claims is in accordance with terms and conditions of the contract data.
Review the project close-out documents to secure the approval/certification of the Employer.
Draft and/or review contract terms of reference (TOR) as requested.
Adhere to ad hoc project related tasks from the Contracts Manager.
Ensuring all contractual compliance and entitlements are responded on time.
Review of suppliers and subcontractors Purchase/Work Order Terms and Condition.
Review Contract Documents with the complete addenda and Particular Conditions of Contract.
Study the contractual documents and other related documentations of potential projects to determine the scope of work and all the relevant information that should be considered in the commercial proposal.
Finalize Variation Orders and negotiate with the Employer for projects for close out.
Prepare retention billing for projects for close out.
Provide support to Tendering Department if necessary.
Maintain a systematic and well-organized filing system for documentations related to contracts, tender drawings, bill of quantities and commercial proposals to ensure completeness of records and to provide easy access to reference.
Assist in the creation and implementation of department policies, procedures, and forms for the efficient and effective performance of department processes and to ensure controls are in place.
Provide back-up relief for other team members and perform ad-hoc tasks that may be assigned from time to time to provide support to the department and the Company.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
Preferably licensed civil engineer or architect
With excellent communication and verbal skills.
Required Skill(s): Surveyor, Estimate, Plan swift, Tendering and Contracts
At least 6 to 7 years' experience in the related field is required for this position.
