CONTINUOUS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT SPECIALIST
 
JOB SUMMARY:
 
The CQI Specialist is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating quality improvement initiatives within the organization. Will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and maintain quality performance standards, address performance issues, review and analyze data and create reports to identify trends, opportunities for improvement and best practices and reporting for the hospital's Quality Program to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements outlined by regulatory entities.
 
Will also develop training programs and conduct the same to promote a culture of continuous quality improvement and ensure the sustainability of quality initiatives. Is expected to enhance the awareness of the CQI program by the organization through training of selected audience on some of the Quality Tools used through a workshop or one-on-one training as necessary.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists the Quality Chairman in reviewing initiative requirements for compliance.
Identify gaps in care, referrals, hospitalizations, social determinants of health, diagnoses, medications, procedures, processes and other critical data elements that will inform the Quality Chair on how best to measure quality care and performance.
Participates on meetings with management, other departments and or other regulatory entities.
Draft quality assurance policies and procedures based on guidelines and best practices.
Manage tasks related to extracting, aggregating and presenting data for the purpose of measuring quality issues across the organization.
Build, prepare, and produce routine and non-routine performance reports derived from various data sources.
Conduct on-site audits.
Document internal audits and other quality performance management activities.
Investigate non-conformance issues.
Supports ongoing compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Qualification and Skills
College Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years' work experience in related field preferably the healthcare industry.
Superior communication and writing skills.
Knowledge in Quality Assurance/Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), Policy and Process Development; Measurable Elements monitoring and analysis; Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Solutions Planning & Implementation an advantage
Advance Knowledge of Microsoft office applications, including Excel.
Ability to manage multiple projects and ask for help when needed.
Ability to participate on a team to accomplish tasks.
Strong customer service skills
Flexibility and willingness to learn new knowledge and skill
