A multi-national steel company with entities in the United States, Mexico, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia is looking for a Consolidation Accountant based in its Metro Manila (Quezon City) office.
Job Description:
• Performs period-end (monthly, quarterly, annual) financial consolidation using the Company's consolidated system solution (FCCS)
• Coordinates the receipt of required information with various stakeholders/subsidiaries
• Prepares monthly/quarterly/annual consolidated financial statements including relevant schedules and analysis as well as necessary disclosures
• Does research on new PFRS, assists in the implementation of new accounting standards and prepares disclosure requirements
• Participates in the design, testing, and implementation of the Company's consolidation system solution
• Continues to refine and develop intercompany policies and procedures, including intercompany reconciliations
• Performs intercompany reconciliation and resolves intercompany data discrepancies throughout the month
• Prepares information to help respond to management questions
• Extracts and prepares ad hoc reports for management
• Coordinates and collaborates with auditors to address audit requests and inquiries
• Completes other Accounting, internal controls, research, and analytical projects as assigned
Job Requirements:
• At least 5 years of Accounting experience (2 years of which in financial consolidation)
• Preferably with external audit experience or worked for a conglomerate
• Solid knowledge of PFRS, internal controls and financial reporting
• Knowledgeable in FCCS or other financial consolidation system
• Knowledgeable in SAP or other enterprise financial reporting system
• Strong organizational, analytical and written/verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills to research and resolve inquiries and respond in a timely manner
• Ability to work well with senior management and across functions to achieve business objectives
• Self-starter who is action oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgency
• Advanced skills in Microsoft applications, specifically Excel
