Being a member of the Compliance Testing Team, the Associate will support senior leadership in assessing and testing controls for adherence to regulatory requirement and industry standards. The Compliance Department ensures DTCC's adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements as they relate to all lines of business and across all functional areas of the various subsidiary companies.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
With mentorship, create and implement test plans to assess the efficiency of the control environment established by DTCC to stay in sync with applicable laws and regulations.
With guidance, identify control deficiencies, evaluate the impact, and assist the business with identifying sustainable corrective actions.
Document work performed clearly and concisely and prepare well-written reports.
Evaluate and improve processes within the function.
Understand and exhibit behaviors and proficiencies that demonstrate a risk management approach.
Support alignment of the function with the overall compliance strategy.
Foster an environment of regulatory awareness and maintain awareness of regulatory requirements and ongoing changes in DTCC's business.
Interface and build relationships with the businesses as well as other control functions to understand tactical and big picture issues in the organization.
Align risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to assess and mitigate risk..

Additional Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of related experience
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience Superior communication, interpersonal, and listening skills.
Talents Needed For Success:
Knowledge of compliance testing principles and standards, including industry best practices and compliance controls
Knowledge of the financial services industry and regulatory environment
Knowledge of and ability to interpret financial services industry regulatory requirement

About the Team:
The General Counsel's Office is a valued, trusted and responsive partner within DTCC. The team promotes and protects the best interests of the DTCC family of companies by creating and facilitating solutions and providing guidance on legal and regulatory matters.
The Compliance Department is dedicated to protecting DTCC against risks of non-compliance with applicable laws and regulatory matters affecting DTCC and its subsidiaries, including evaluating and responding to new and changing federal, state, local and administrative regulations.
