Mission
You will assist the Head of Compliance in providing compliance support and advice and in ensuring that business, transactions, product, and services are conducted and documented in accordance with all laws, rules, and regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Outcomes
Drive and develop anti-money laundering/counter-terrorism financing, compliance and anti-fraud policies and procedures
Deal with all day-to-day compliance and KYC issues as they arise
Promotes good compliance risk management, consistent with the best practices in process design and policy development.
Facilitates policy, risk and control discussions with stakeholders
Performs ongoing compliance reviews and facilitates remediation of control deficiencies based on observations from compliance and business testing and monitoring, internal audits and regulatory examination
Advise and assist businesses on changes required by law and/or regulation and plan and deliver business specific legal and compliance training, as needed
Remain fully conversant with local and relevant overseas regulations and regulatory developments, lobbying/responding to consultation with regulatory bodies where requested
Oversees the suspicious transactions investigations and filing of STR as needed
Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as requested
What we're looking for
You are willing and able to:
Demonstrate a breadth and depth of knowledge of all AML/CTF, applicable laws, rules, regulations, and a detailed understanding of current and anticipated local regulations
Liaise effectively with regulators, law enforcement, business partners and other stakeholders
Draft clear and professional correspondence and other documents of a regulatory, compliance and business nature
Communicate in an effective, coherent and confident manner with all levels of staff and external bodies on complex matters relating to regulation and compliance.
Thorough knowledge of essential AML/CTF rules and issuances, including preparing and submitting of mandatory reports to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Anti-Money Laundering Council and other relevant regulators
You may be a good fit if you have
At least 5 years of work experience as a subject matter expert in compliance, risk or internal audit function within the financial services industry
Previous experience working with electronic anti-fraud platforms and preferably with exposure on digital / e-commerce business with automated operating environments, banking processes and credit card rules is a plus
Good knowledge and understanding of general compliance matters
Excellent communications skills
Able to work under pressure and tight timeline
