Under the general supervision of the HRO Team Lead, the Company Nurse is responsible for ensuring that certain safety workplace standards are met, and that employee concerns and requests are being addressed properly and immediately. S/he must also deliver direct care for common illnesses and administers first aid to injured employees. The occupational health nurse or industrial health nurse co-chairs the Health and Safety Committee to create a safe and productive work environment and encourages employees to participate in programs designed to promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and a good balance between home and work responsibilities.
Occupational Health and Safety
Schedule (every 3rd quarter of the year) and assist annual medical examination of all employees
Evaluates new employees' medical certificates for onboarding procedure
Accredits clinics and hospitals for healthcare accommodation
Coordinates employee health needs with the accredited hospitals and clinics in accordance with the in-house health care plan (health care coordinator)
Monitor health care plan utilization cost including checking and processing of medical/dental reimbursements
Reviews and recommends the best HMO facility
Represents the company in occupational safety and health programs by the government and other fora
Implement wellness programs in relation to work-life balance
Ensures that the company is occupational safety and health compliant
Implements and monitors department's compliance to 5S standards
Automatically becomes a member of the safety committee and emergency response team
Nursing / Medical Care
Administer first aid treatments and provide medications for employees as needed
Monitor and record the patient's condition
Assist all injured employees to the nearest hospital
Maintain all employees medical and other similar records
Secure and ensure that the sick employees submit "fit to work" certificate
Interpret and evaluate diagnostic test based on the verification of medical certificates
Coordinate with hospitals for minor medical operations
Coordinates with the medical director cases that needed more severe medical attention
Dispenses medicines for requesting employees
Conduct an inventory of medicines and other supplies once a month
Generate medical reimbursement report every month
Assist in other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor
Bachelor's degree in Nursing with PRC License
3-5 years of experience in activities regarding medical care and Occupational Safety and Health
Must be proficient in MS Office 2000, i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Sound clinical knowledge and basic occupational nursing care
With background knowledge in the field of accounting and logistics, preferably but not required
Experience in SSC or BPO industry, preferably but not required
Highly independent and organized
