THE OPPORTUNITY
Plan International will implement THE BRIDGES PROJECT: Promoting Peace through Community-based Conflict Resolution and Empowerment of Young People. This is a three-year project that seeks to strengthen local capacity targeting both state and non-state actors in Maguindanao to resolve conflict and promote peace and non-violent approaches to resolving conflict. The project will be implemented in 30 barangays in the conflict-affected municipalities labeled as the SPMS box covering Datu Unsay, Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Datu Salibo including Pagatin, Shariff Aguak, Mamasapano, and Shariff Saydona Mustapha - all in the province of Maguindanao as part of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
The Community Feedback Officer is tasked to manage the establishment of the child-friendly and gender-sensitive community feedback mechanism in thirty (30) barangays covered by the project.
Further, as the Community Feedback Officer:
You will facilitate training activities to project staff and community partners in the establishment of a child-friendly and gender-sensitive community feedback mechanism.
You will gather community feedback via face-to-face (following IATF guidelines), phone, and/or text using FrontlineSMS and other social media platforms.
You will provide tracking of incoming calls, capturing relevant data, and constantly assessing the urgent needs of the affected population.
You will serve as the focal point for feedbacking and related inquiries.
Plan International is a development and humanitarian organization. In exceptional cases, you will be asked to support emergency response activities in the communities in your assigned covered areas.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
To be successful in the role you will need among other things:
Degree in and/or background in Journalism, Mass Communication, or other related fields.
Fluent in English, Tagalog, and Maguindanaon.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Previous experience working with online data platforms and data visualization.
Direct experience in managing or working in feedback analytics. Experience in monitoring and evaluation of an advantage.
Previous work experience in similar projects and or organizations is an advantage.
