The role is part of the Customer Marketing Team under the PH Commercial Sales organization
About the Role
The Commercial Planning Manager will be responsible for providing channel insights, identifying opportunities for growth, and for creating presentations to support the initiatives of the company. S/he will also be responsible for creating scorecards to monitor and analyse sales performance for designed programs. The candidate must be able to identify channel trends and develop short- and long-term strategies.
S/he must possess in-depth knowledge of brand strategies and is able to translate these into channel strategies. The role calls for seamless cross functional working relations: Brand Marketing, Customer Activation Team, Sales Team, and the rest of the support teams (Finance, Logistics, Demand, Procurement).
In addition, s/he must have the ability to influence a broad range of stakeholders including the Leadership Team.
Key Accountabilities:
Commercial Information Strategy: Gatekeeps Customer and Brand Marketing information for commercial variables for sales teams. Review all content, consolidate where appropriate and maintain tight delivery timelines to field. Create CAP. Provide actionable channel insights on performance, trends and opportunities
Commercial Annual Plan: Owns channel programs and execution monitoring. Analyze post promotional events, program effectiveness, distribution opportunities, assortment recommendations. Develop new and innovative scorecards to analyse business performance and complete ad hoc requests for sales and leadership teams.
POS Production Plan: Strategy and plan to deliver channel-specific POSM to support CAP.
Commercial Innovation Plan: Strategy, plan and go-to-market approach for best in class and consistent commercial innovation launches
Experience required/Skills/Capabilities/Languages
We'd love to work with you if you have
Bachelors degree, preferably with 3 to 5 years FMCG experience
Experienced salesperson with a good understanding of the Hypermarket and Supermarket Channels
With working knowledge of Retail Trade Audit (an advantage)
Financial acumen - handled annual channel A&P budget
The individual should possess a team-oriented & collaborative approach
Good Communication & Leadership Skill - able to drive discussions with internal and external stakeholders to include Senior Leadership Team
Must be proficient in MS Office including knowledge of formulas and pivot tables in Excel
Good written & verbal communications and presentations skill
Strategic and analytical skills
