Background:
The role of a collections specialist is to serve as the liaison between the creditors and consumers of a company. They are in charge of observing accounts to identify overdue payments, report collection activity, address client queries, and develop repayment plans.
Responsibilities:
Monitor the firm's accounts receivable and identify overdue accounts
Contact customers with overdue accounts and attempt to either collect the overdue amount or negotiate a payment plan to collect it in installments
Maintain records of contacts and attempted contacts with delinquent account customers as well as records of any payments collected from the customer
Resolve customer issues and complaints concerning billing
Submit regular reports on the status of unpaid accounts and any repayment progress Software experience
NetSuite - preferred
Payference-s is a software that connects with NetSuite to show open AR, allows customers to pay for invoices online (ACH or Credit Card), sends automatic reminder

Purchase Order Invoice Processing
Receive AP invoices and perform 3 way match on purchase order for processing Compile credit information for new customers
Request credit report
Reach out to references
Report findings to CFO for credit assessment
Requirements:
Strong understanding of billing and collection processes.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly-skilled in negotiation.
In-depth knowledge of laws and policies related to debt collection
Good administrative skills.
