The Manufacturing Excellence Manager contributes in building the cluster ManEx program (such as WCM, sustainability, agility, asset efficiency, digitisation and automation), is responsible for managing and driving the implementation of the agreed ManEx program together with the SUDs and the factory leadership teams in the countries s/he is looking after. S/he is also providing WCM coaching for the plants, coordinating activities, developing the requires WCM skill base to enable factories to eradicate losses, delivering WCM training. S/he has a direct impact on Manufacturing performance KPI's (AMIS) improvement (e.g. OR, OEE, agility, sustainability, ME Savings). Leading and taking responsibility to deliver cluster level Manex projects, picking up 2-3 WCM pillars and Manex workstreams for which s/he becomes the reference point/ the highest expertise in the cluster. S/he would interact directly with SU Directors and functional experts within the business and external WCM consultancy agencies.
Job Summary
Responsibilities:
Drive ManEx/WCM programme deployment, including facilitating WCM route map preparation aligned with factory masterplans
Setting up standards, developing and maintaining skill base (capabilities) for pillar leads that required to deliver sufficient progress in WCM program
Establish a common methodology for implementing WCM in the factories, providing coaching and supporting training activities
Occasionally run improvement projects in factories on that way to pass the knowledge to the factory team
Co-ordinate WCM self-assessment and WCM audit preparation
Maximize ManEx workstream/ WCM similarities and synergies within and across plants, developing action plans for effective knowledge and best practices transfer (cluster wise and globally)
Expand the loss management framework beyond Manufacturing, have KPI ́s for interfaces with Manufacturing (OR losses) and support agility improvement program
Support the implementation of Sites improvement programs
Support WCG and saving tracking activities, understand the cost and waste gaps of the factories and proactively help the factory leadership team to identify actions to close those gaps
Support /lead category factory benchmarking
Provide relevant ad hoc and regular reporting to global ManEx
Support factory transformation agenda towards digitisation
Deliver appropriate training
Exploit new continuous improvement tools available in the market
What are we looking for
ESSENTIAL
University degree required
5 years experience in general business.
Appropriate functional / technical expertise. • Strong Manufacturing / WCM (or equivalent like TPM, Lean Management, etc.) background is required (with strong achievements)
Good communication and influential skills
