CLOUD OPERATIONS & IT SPECIALIST
 
Job Brief: We are seeking a skilled Cloud Operations & IT Specialist to manage our System Five on Cloud SaaS infrastructure and support internal IT systems. In this hybrid role, you will ensure our customer-facing cloud environment is reliable, secure, and efficient, while also providing IT support to our employees. This is a unique position that touches all aspects of modern IT operations - from automating Azure cloud deployments to setting up a new employee's laptop. The ideal candidate is versatile, collaborative, and thrives in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

Responsibilities:
Design and implement infrastructure-as-code solutions (for automated provisioning and configuration)
Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes (account setup, access provisioning, hardware preparation)
Implement and maintain 3rd party solutions and IT tools
Manage and maintain virtual servers and their dependencies, including WebAPI, WindwardConnect
Perform product and software updates
Cost reporting and analysis
Apply and develop best practices across all aspects of work
Design, implement, maintain server, storage, network, and security infrastructure
Design, implement, and test disaster recovery, and business continuity infrastructure
Create and implement automation for cloud platforms as well as monitoring and alerting processes
Troubleshoot production issues and respond to after-hours escalations
Help develop and implement processes and best practices designed to increase productivity and dependability
Communicate directly with customers as required
Escalate issues and challenges to the Infrastructure Manager
Ensure key performance indicators are recorded, monitored, and communicated on a regular basis
Provide support for internal IT issues
Qualifications:
B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent discipline or industry experience
2+ years hands-on experience with Azure cloud services
3+ years in IT systems administration and/or cloud operations
Expertise in Windows and Linux operating systems
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins)
Expertise in storage design, high availability, disaster recovery
Familiarity with web applications and relational databases
Expertise with network architecture including load-balancing, DNS, security (Entra ID)
Experience with automated processes using PowerShell and/or other scripting/programming (Python, Bash) for automation
Exceptional problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
