About the Role
As the Client Services Manager, you will be responsible for delivering services to legal practice clients. You will take responsibility for all their accounting, audit, and advisory needs.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Fully supervising a portfolio of legal practice clients, including a number of audit clients, taking responsibility for all aspects of their accounting/audit and advisory needs.
Reviewing accounts and audit work, statutory financial reporting, and completion work.
Reviewing SRA Accounts Rules audit work and recommending improvements to clients.
Supervising work at client premises and liaising with clients, including acting as a key point of contact for day-to-day ad hoc queries and enquiries.
Involvement in project work, such as practice restructuring, valuations, mergers, succession planning etc. as required.
Closing liaison with our internal tax team, and the ability to deal with tax computations and tax issues.
Supervising, motivating, and coaching staff, including involvement in staff training and appraisals.
Helping to create a vibrant working environment, where individual talent can thrive, within a dynamic team framework, where everyone works towards a common goal.
Reviewing and appraising internal working practices, identifying areas where efficiency improvements can be made.
About You
If you are a CPA with demonstrated experience in general accounting and audit, then you might be the person that we are looking for. You MUST also be confident in facing the client and has good leadership skills.
Position Prerequisites
Must be a Certified Public Accountant.
Confident self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Flexible approach.
Up-to-date technical knowledge (UK GAAP, Companies Act legislation).
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word & Excel (experience with paperless auditing software would be helpful but is not essential).
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including report writing.
Team and peer leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and develop staff to achieve their potential.
Empathy and ability to deal with individuals at all levels and from all backgrounds.
Nice to Have
Previous experience working with legal practices would be helpful but is not essential.
Preferably ACA/CA/ACCA qualified.
