Description: The Global Merchant and Network Services (GMNS) is the merchant network of American Express which acquires and maintains relationships with millions of merchants around the world that welcome American Express cards. In this role, you will be working across multiple industries to handle existing key clients across the 14 to 36-month lifecycle period. Working across a portfolio of existing managed accounts, transitioning from an acquisition phase (1- 13 months) to client management (14-36 months), you will be building, developing, and penetrating the existing relationship in partnership to market and promote to GCS merchant acceptance & network capabilities with a goal to grow the existing merchant relationship. The successful applicant will be able to develop and deliver unique relationship management strategies, demonstrating financial acuity combined with merchant and industry value propositions to secure American Express acceptance across all industries. Responsibilities: Successfully drive client management strategies to protect existing & capture incremental volume Promote innovative thinking to challenge the status quo to achieve incremental growth Penetrate existing card member base to scale incremental cards and promote digital enablement via 'Amex Payment Gateway' product Demonstrate consultative relationship management techniques and build materials to clearly articulate the American Express value to prospective merchants Facilitate the set up and management of merchant facilities through direct interaction with payments consulting teams, as well as prospective merchant credit operations and accounts receivable teams Collaborate with American Express Issuers to secure and deliver robust marketing and Card Member engagement strategies that drive spend within newly acquired merchants Build and cultivate internal relationships with stakeholders such as Premium servicing and other support teams Engage and negotiate with key business partners, senior business leaders whilst navigating multiple internal team members to improve sales cycles and results. Qualifications: Ample experience in relationship management and business development Solid understanding of or the ability to learn the merchant and card payments business Excellent negotiation, relationship building and communication skills, with proven track record to influence internal and external stakeholders Experience in developing and carrying out successful portfolio management strategies Ability to articulate knowledge about products, services, and value proposition to prospect opportunities Additional Details: Location: BGC Corporate Center 2, 5th Avenue corner 30th Street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig Workplace Flexibility: Full time.
