ROLE FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspects packaging and acceptability of outgoing cargoes.
Weighs and measures dimension of outgoing cargoes.
Checks completeness of Shipper's Advice and Certificate of Contents (SACC).
Ensures that all required documents/permits are provided by the shipper prior acceptance of cargo.
Ensures that Conditions of Carriage and other restrictions are properly explained to shippers.
Assists in ensuring that all handling instructions are well noted and satisfied.
Checks condition of incoming cargoes and report any irregularity noted.
Validates identification of consignee/representative prior release of incoming cargoes.
Release Cargoes to the consignee
Performs other tasks as may be assigned by the Cargo Manager, Cargo Supervisor or Lead Cargo Agent.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must completed at least 2nd year college or senior high school; and
Preferably with experience in Cargo Handling.
