Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Salary: USD 3,000-3,500 per month + accommodationYou will lead mechanical systems design and collaborate on electrical systems for high-rise residential and hotel developments, ensuring designs are efficient, compliant, and seamlessly integrated with architectural and structural elements.Key Responsibilities
Create detailed designs for HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems, while coordinating electrical layouts in Revit or AutoCAD.
Prepare equipment schedules, system layouts, and engineering calculations (load, pressure drop, duct sizing).
Produce drawings, specifications, and technical submissions for client and authority approval.
Work closely with architects, structural engineers, MEP colleagues, and contractors to resolve design conflicts and optimise layouts.
Conduct value-engineering reviews to balance performance, cost, and sustainability.
Review shop drawings and contractor submissions for compliance with design intent.
Conduct site inspections to verify installations, dimensions, and support commissioning.
Ensure all designs meet Cambodian codes, international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA), and client requirements.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Qualifications & Experience
5-10 years experience in mechanical design, with exposure to electrical design.
Proven track record in high-rise residential or hotel projects.
Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, or similar BIM software.
Strong knowledge of HVAC calculations, ductwork and piping layouts, and equipment selection.
Advanced CAD/BIM drafting and modelling skills.
Understanding of MEP coordination and clash detection.
Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
