On the Business Insights team, we believe in using data to guide Infor to a better future. We do this by anticipating and answering critical business questions to drive improved performance and getting the right data to the right people in the right format - empowering every Inforian to be able to make data-driven decisions.
This position plays a critical role in realizing this vision. We are looking for a technical analyst with specific expertise in Marketing, Sales, Professional Services, and/or Customer Success. The primary responsibility of this role is to build dashboards, using Infor Birst, that tell stories, answer questions, and provide actionable insights while following design best practices and optimizing for page load time performance.
While building dashboards is a major part of the job, it is also much more than that. It's going beyond the data and working with business leaders to understand their needs and challenges, using data to address those needs, identifying gaps in data and working cross-functionally to change processes & systems so data can be tracked, transitioning/automating any manual or legacy reporting for more real-time data access, and continually iterating dashboards to improve adoption.
What You Will Need:
Creating dashboards in Birst while working directly with leadership and business partners to determine what the business needs are and how to translate to visualizations
Understanding business processes and systems and how they relate to the data available
Gathering reporting requirements to identify data source(s) needed and where there may be gaps in data
Identifying root cause of problems with reports and data and working with the right teams to resolve
Ensuring data accuracy of all calculations and logic used to represent key metrics as well as accurately assigning data permissions, working with business owners to verify
Maintaining and enhancing existing dashboards - driving adoption by gathering feedback from users and iterating on the content
Ability to work flexible hours for global coverage as necessary
What Will Put You Ahead?
Familiarity working with enterprise BI tools such as Birst, Domo, TIBCO Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI with an emphasis on using these tools to tell stories and provide actionable insights
Experience with SQL and data modeling (ETL knowledge a plus)
Advanced Excel skills with an emphasis on presenting data in a consumable and aesthetically pleasing way
Ability to handle multiple projects with changing priorities and meet challenging deadlines in a fast-paced environment, leveraging your organizational/project management skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills in a global multicultural environment
Creative problem solver who takes ownership of their projects
Knowledge of Marketing and Sales systems such as Marketo or Salesforce a plus
