Role: Business Development Representative (Social)
As a Business Development Representative you will work with the Senior Sales Executives to qualify prospects and build a strong sales pipeline. Success in this position requires a strong curiosity for Digital Marketing / Social Media / Martech, excellent communication and presentation skills, and sharp business acumen to consult with C-Suite Executives. By joining our team, you will be an instrumental part of our growth in the Philippines.
Our Sales Development Representative is the first step in your journey towards becoming a successful Sales Executive in the Meltwater Social division. In this role, you will learn about the digital marketing industry and about our product suite as well as develop consultative sales techniques working directly with our customers to sell our products.
In this role, you will be working remotely based in Philippines.
What You'll Do:
Business development and sales support for our Meltwater Social division
Accelerate sales & revenue growth with a targeted focus in Philippines in partnership with our Senior Sales Executive
Pipeline generation, lead qualification of new & existing clients for the purpose of driving sales & revenue
Qualify inbound leads, and reach out to outbound prospects, ensuring a growing and steady pipeline of opportunities
Initiate early conversations with clients to understand their pain points, share Meltwater's product suite
Book a steady flow of demos and meetings for interested clients for the sales team
Some element of presales work, such as putting together business proposals, presentations, pitch decks, proof of concepts, and collecting use cases
Become an expert user of our Meltwater SaaS platforms
Specialize in knowledge in the Social Media, Communications & Digital Marketing industry
Contribute to the Meltwater Social division's sales performance
Who You Are:
English and Tagalog language proficiency
1 - 2 years of work experience
High level of drive & stamina to succeed in sales
Curious about and understand the value of digital marketing / social media / MarTech / MarCom
Interest in tech & SaaS / media intelligence, and a regular consumer of the news / media
Exceptional interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills
Bachelor's degree
Self-motivated, proactive, and organized with the ability to work under tight deadlines and in a high-pressure environment
Eligible to work in the Philippines
Prior experience cold calling, booking and conducting software demos, or exposure to sales processes from prospecting to closing of deals (preferred)
