Job Description : Business Development Manager - Modern Retail New Channel
Business Development Manager - New Channels will be responsible in developing and managing the participation of ASSA ABLOY into the Appliance, SGC (Supermarket, Groceries, Convenience stores), and Online E-Commerce businesses. The role involves business development, sales management steering, distribution management, and internal collaboration within the company to successfully launch relevant product categories in these new channels. The objective is drive new business for the company and expand the horizon for relevant products with special focus on the Smart Residential product category, among others. The BDM may tap existing distribution partners for indirect approach and may expand to tap others as well as explore and realize opportunities for direct distribution approach in relevant channels.
Essential Duties and Resposibilities:
1. Manage the existing E-commerce and SGC business and hit the target parameters
2. Drive appropriate distribution approach for new channel expansion in Supermarkets via indirect or indirect approach in collaboration with segment manager.
3. Develop, calibrate and execute the Go-to-Market strategy for new channe entry and development in collaboration with ket stakeholders.
4. Develop the processes and framework relevant to the set-up of assigned channels pertaining to sell-in, sell-through, and sell-out stages in distribution.
5. Achieve the periodic business target set for the new business segment in sales, store participation/penetration, and market reach.
6. Steer and manage merchandising, trade activities, and sell-out programs.
7. Manage customer/account management relationships and conduct distribution management processes that drives business growth.
8. Conduct store/channel visitis to include travels across the country as may be necessary in building channel expansion and the successful execution of sales and marketing plan/s.
9. Provide timely reports, updated and presentation as may be required.
Qualifications:
1. Has relevant experience in retail business development and opening new business.
2. With demostrable experience in modern retail distribution, sales, and merchandising management preferably in the Appliance, SGC and electronics channel segment
3. Exhibits strong effective verbal and written communication, selling and relevant marketing skill sets.
4. Effective in organization, time and project management.
5. Experienced in cross-functional projects and initiatives as well as people management.
6. Has the willingness to travel out-base as may be required for business purposes (skill: licensed driver).
7. Strong skill in Office applications, i.e.Excel, PPT, among others.
