Job Description
The Role
This role is responsible for performing active business development and realizing additional business to generate growth, expand customer base as well as build strong value-driven & profitable long-term business.
As a Business Development Executive, you will:
Develop new business opportunities in the Air and Ocean Freight Forwarding and works closely with customers, business partners, and internal operations to deliver a total business solution
Maintains a good relationship with customers to achieve assigned sales target
Analyze business requirements, present situations, and identify improvement potentials
Preparation of quotations, technical proposals for tenders and various sales-related reports, proposals, and presentation
Sales pipeline management and forecasting via CRM (salesforce.com)
Monitors market and competition activities, share feedback to in-house stakeholder and performs other ad-hoc projects assigned by management
Qualifications
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Has at least 5 years of sales experience in logistics preferable within a Air and Ocean Freight Forwarding, logistics consulting firm, and/or multinational work environment
Possess excellent understanding of logistics solutions and operations covering all modes of international transportation, warehousing, and distribution, e-commerce, 3PL solutions.
Knowledgeable in the supply chain of either one or more major industry verticals like retail, lifestyle/fashion, technology, FMCG, Chemicals, or Automotive is highly desirable
Possess strong command of the English language
Has excellent PC skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoints)
