As part of the exponential growth that Chalkboard is enjoying in the field of education technology to date,
specifically in the area of online one-on-one tutoring, along with our massive plan for global expansion,
we are looking to hire an experienced, sales and customer-oriented BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE.
Our Business Development Associate's responsibilities greatly involve sales conversions that include but are not limited to conducting cold calls and emails, responding to customer inquiries via multiple channels, and securing high-level business meetings either online or onsite or both. He/she is also expected to liaise with appropriate departments about sales-driven initiatives/campaigns.
To be successful as our Business Development Associate, the candidate should be persuasive and able to work in a result, quota-driven, and high-pressure sales environment. Ultimately, he/she should have excellent communication skills both written and verbal as well as exceptional negotiation skills.
Business Development Associate's Executive Responsibilities:
Emailing and calling potential customers to convert sales through sustainable B2B partnerships.
Securing high-level business meetings and presentations both online and onsite.
Generating promising leads for the outside sales team to pursue.
Developing and sustaining solid relationships with partners to encourage lead generation and eventual sales conversion.
Using sales scripts prepared by the company to drive sales and respond to customer rejections.
Continually meet if not exceed daily, weekly and monthly targets with respect to email and call volume made and converted high-level meetings and engagements.
Business Development Associate's Executive Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, communications, business administration, or related field are preferred but not required.
At least 2 years of experience in sales, account management, and or customer service, preferably in the education industry but not required.
Proven experience working as a sales/account/customer service executive.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
Strong negotiation and sales conversion skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills.
Advocacy or familiarity in the education sector is a plus.
