We are hiring for a Business Analyst - Sales and Marketing, who will be 100% dedicated to support and implement our client's Go-to-Market business facing experts and managers on active business use cases. The role will report directly to the Senior Manager, Go-to-Market, and work daily with Managers and Analysts in the team. The analyst will be assigned to working on 1-2 projects at a time, usually focused on customer marketing and sales operations. The project will usually run over 2-4 months. Working under the close guidance of one manager for each project, you will enrich Equinix's understanding of critical business drivers, elevate our most important executive insights, develop and perfect tools to allow insights generation, and help provide guidance on ad hoc analysis to understand new areas of the business.
Preparation
Business issue exploration, analytical formulation, schedule of detailed project plan, research of intelligence materials, build-up of data platform, and expert interview kick-offs.
Implementation
Data transformation, hypothesis testing and refinement, statistical and business analysis, insights surfacing and proofing, development of final business conclusions, support documentation on approach and methodology
Communication
Synthesis of final findings, development of the storyboard, design and build presentation (data, visualization, and commentaries), quality assurance and rehearsals, presentation delivery to decision-makers, follow-up and action plans, distribution, and promotion of analytical findings to business users and the analytical community.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in a business field (Business, Marketing, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics) from a top tier university required.
Experience or proven interest in the technology industry.
Proactive, self-driven and passionate disposition. Capable of repeating processes after a few trials under manager's guidance, and delivering independently quality results
Highly analytical orientation, e.g., interest and natural talent in decomposing and solving real world business problems through relevant data and analytical frameworks.
Communications skills. Minimal ability to distill and simplify complex ideas and develop a compelling story about the business performance, whether through verbal or written communications, or through PowerPoint presentation.
Advanced to intermediate skills in Excel and PowerPoint required.
Nice to Have * Master's degree (MBA graduate from a recognized B-school) or similar academic credentials; certifications or candidates for CSP, PCM, PMP, Salesforce or other related sales and marketing software, Green/Black Belt or equivalent.
Experience with visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), dataset extraction (e.g., Salesforce, Clari, Anaplan, SAP...), some programming skills (e.g., SAS/SQL/R, Visual Basic, Python) and/or statistical equivalent tools.
Alternatively, we are open to consider entry-level candidates with an exceptional record of academic achievements and a sound foundation to transform, manipulate, and analyze data.
Experience or proven interest in marketing, sales operations, market consulting, real estate, construction, engineering, or energy industry.
2-5 years in an analytics role or equivalent with demonstrated success in developing and implementing insights from complex data set and / or in producing impactful presentations or visuals.
Intellectual curiosity. Willingness and desire to learn new things and dig deeper than the surface. Ability to research, conceptualize and question the business problem.
Creative data visualization. Interest in acquiring or improving skills for synthesizing complex ideas and large amounts of data into compelling stories through elegant yet powerful visuals
