Job Description:
As a Business Analyst with focus on Business Process Analysis, you will be part of a highly collaborative development team working on robotic process automations. This is an integral role in the development of automations that ensures the organization's needs are articulated in the user story acceptance criteria consumed by the development team. In this role, you will practice fundamentals of requirements gathering, system conceptual design, and scope definition. You will be responsible for facilitating the shared understanding of business processes and articulating this in scenario driven user stories. You will be assisting the product owner/project manager by writing and defining the acceptance criteria for the user stories included in the backlog.
Additionally, you will assist in conducting functional and usability testing to ensure that the deliverable meets the business requirements and needs. This role works with Willis Towers Watson's proprietary and/or industry-leading systems and applications and ensures that these are designed and built according to agreed-upon technical specifications and quality standards.
Partner with the Business SME(s), Operations and RPA team members to develop a deep end-to-end understanding of processes targeted for automation.
Document and outline the impacted processes and current state flows, author business requirements that capture 'to-be' or future-state processes using mapping designs and Cross-functional flowcharts. Translate these details into business/functional requirements for the development team following a standardized documentation approach.
Validate changes/needs/impacts with Business SME(s) and Operations and work with RPA Team members to facilitate the planning and execution of these RPAs and other Automation priorities.
Work with Business SME(s) to perform value analysis (ROI) for the processes. Identify scope, benefits, constraints, and risks for RPA automation initiatives and document current-state process metrics vs future state metrics and business centric KPIs.
Coordinate with the business and the RPA team to identify and provide support for solution designs for production issues and enhancements
Identify opportunities for process enhancements and opportunities. Conduct Process diagnostics & opportunity identification
Facilitate requirements/process elicitation with SMEs and stakeholders and refine requirements with development team. Gather non-functional requirements such as security, capacity performance and availability. Define configuration specifications and business analysis requirements
Coordinate with Product Owner/Project Manager to ensure the backlog reflects correct prioritization
Communicate effectively with key stakeholders and focus on building strong collaborative relationships with the team and business users
Consider change management implications for implementation of new RPA processes and document future state process/automation for stakeholder readiness including procedural documentation, user impact, flows, etc. Identify and document best practices for ongoing RPA adoption
Participate and coordinate testing/QA for automations. Support the team with triaging bugs reported by the business users
Deliver key business analysis artifacts, using best practices and tools, for the design, solution, and execution of RPAs
Participates in Scrum Ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, release planning, sprint reviews, and demos.
Self-organizes and applies cross-functional competencies to create high-value solutions.
Job Requirements:
Requires strong skills with process engineering, business analysis, requirements gathering, and communication.
Willingness to solve problems by being inquisitive and curious with RPA and related technologies. Experience in RPA or similar, such as Microsoft Excel macros, is preferred
Strong critical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential.
Experience working in Agile Development environment preferred. Familiarity with the Scrum ceremonies.
Self-starter attitude and ability to work well within ambiguity
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work on virtual teams
Adeptness at learning new technology, tools, and processes
Manages time effectively by placing the right focus on value added operations
Excellent communication skills, ability to discuss complex scenarios, research/elicitation with wide variety of stakeholders
