The Building and Facilities Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) is responsible in the overall supervision and application of engineering principles for the generation, transmission and utilization of plumbing system, heat, ventilation, airconditioning and mechanical power in the design, production, installation and maintenance of building facility and fabricated company tools and ranging from small component designs to machinery and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications/ Experiences:
Mechanical Engineering graduate, with license
At least 5 years experience in mechanical engineering technology.
With food manufacturing industry experience on mechanical installation and maintenance work.
With multi skilled maintenance role in electrical and mechanical maintenance services.
With short course on HVAC, PLC, Pneumatics and Electro Pneumatics, Factory Automation, Preventive Maintenance
Advance courses in industrial facilities design and planning is a plus
Duties and Responsibilities:
Planning and designing mechanical and electromechanical products and systems, and directs and coordinates activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems.
Researching and analyzing data on design proposals, specifications and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
Designing products or systems such as tools, machines, thermal, hydraulic or heat transfer systems with the application of knowledge and engineering principles.
Designing and implementing cost effective equipment modification to help improve safety, reliability and throughput.
Directs and coordinates fabrication and installation of activities to ensure products and systems and conform to engineering design and customer specifications
Coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization of machines and equipment.
Developing project specifications with colleagues from other engineering disciplines
Confers with engineers and other maintenance staff/personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve malfunction, develop methods and procedures for testing products/system and provide technical information.
Establish and coordinate maintenance and safety procedures, service schedule and supply of materials required to maintain machine/equipment in operating condition.
May evaluate field instruments and recommend design modification to eliminate system malfunctions.
Develops and tests machinery and equipment, applying knowledge of mechanical engineering technology, under direction of engineering and scientific staff.
Reads and interprets blueprint, schematic and technical drawings.
Devises, fabricates and assembles new or modified electrical components or assemblies for products such as industrial equipment and machinery, power equipment, service systems, machine tools, and measuring instruments.
Deals with emergency and unplanned problems or repairs.
Writes reports and maintains documentation.
Monitors inventory and requisitions OEM machine parts and other consumables.
Performs other tasks as may be required.
Troubleshoot facility and building plumbing, HVAC machine/equipment such as chillers, aircon, refrigeration units -cooler room, cooling vats, UHT, boiler, air compressor, cooling tower and other mechanical equipment.
Must be amenable to work in Pasig City
