The Bookkeeper is the organization's financial record keeper. He/She updates and maintains the accounting records, including those which tabulate expenditures, receipts, accounts payable and receivable, and profit and loss. He/ She is will also be responsible for overseeing and reconciling hundreds of financial transactions.
Receives and records invoices and arranges payment;
Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
Prepares and sends invoices to debtors;
Prepares regular reports and summaries of accounting activities;
Update and maintain the general ledger
Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system
Maintain the trial balance, by a reconciliation of general ledgers
Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions
Monitor any variances from the projected budget
Provide information to the external accountant who creates the company's financial statements
Assemble information for external auditors for the annual audit
Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
Comply with local, state, and government reporting requirements ex. SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-ibig, BIR
Process payroll in a timely manner
Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
