Tasks:
Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
Conduct banking activities and assist with payroll processing
Assist with invoicing and handling accounts receivables
Perform all activities related to the accounts receivable function
Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on a needed basis and provide reports to the client
Process overseas stock orders correctly and in a timely manner
Manage the administration of overseas orders
Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements ensuring their accuracy
Perform financial analysis and planning
Recommend changes to improve financial performance
Maintain the client's database and make sure everything is up to date
Manage the client's emails and ensure that they are processed, managed and acted upon daily
Organize the documents, files and images correctly
Support the director with various administration tasks
Respond to and act on online customer support requests
Other ad hoc tasks that would be assigned
Requirements:
At least 4 years of proven work experience as a Bookkeeper or any relevant role is required
Must have a bachelor's degree in Accounting
Experience in the customer service industry is a must
Working knowledge of the Australian taxation system is required
Experience with Australian payroll requirements
Working experience in using Xero accounting software is a must
Knowledge in basic accounting is a must
Understanding accounting best practices
Experience with the financial calculations involved in importing goods is preferred
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Able to prepare, review and understand a financial statement
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Knows how to craft responses and do meaningful conversations
Familiarity with current technologies, like desktop sharing, cloud services and VoIP (GSuite, Zoom, Slack, Trello, etc.)
Good English communication skills, both written and verbal
Highly organized, and able to efficiently prioritize multiple tasks
