We are seeking an exceptional Bookkeeper/Administration Officer to join the team of our Australian client. You'll provide vital administrative support and process Business Activity Statements.
This role offers exciting growth potential. You can advance to a tax accountant position, expanding skills and providing crucial tax and accounting support to other accountants. Responsibilities include preparation of individual tax returns, bookkeeping including processing payroll, superannuation and handling Activity Statements, positively impacting clients' financial success.
Responsibilities of a Bookkeeper/Administration Officer include but not limited to:
Administration:
Perform day-to-day office administration tasks to maintain office efficiency, including data entry and file preparation.
Draft business communication letters, emails, and invoices.
Assist consultants in setting up files for new clients.
Preparing prefils and working papers to assist consultants with individual tax returns.
Handle and process all ATO correspondence on behalf of clients.
Bookkeeping:
Reconcile transactions via bank statements or data feeds
Setup chart of accounts and enter conversion balances.
Offer support to clients using accounting software
Prepare and lodge of basic BAS/IAS for clients each quarter.
Reconcile & lodge Return to Work SA.
Process superannuation via SBSCH and prepare Super Guarantee Charge Statements.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or a related field is required.
At least 1 year of relevant work experience is required for this position.
Excellent English communication skills are a must.
Proficiency in MS Office is highly desirable.
Experience using Xero is ideal but not required.
Must be willing to work an AU shift (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM MNL).
During the probationary period, this role will require you to work onsite at our office in Eastwood, Quezon City. The work setup may transition to hybrid or remote afterwards.
