Position Overview
Designs, develops, and manages opportunities / bid and work packages related to customer projects, according to defined Project Management (PM) standards and customer requirements, and with responsibility for economic results.
What are my job responsibilities?
Review Request for Quotations (RFQ) received from customers and develop, prepare technical and commercial offers with identification of key scope that highlights our OEM value.
Provide technical support to sales during product promotions, site walk-downs and visits, negotiations, and follow-up activities as necessary.
Interface with operations, engineering, and factories throughout the world to resolve technical topics in bids and in ongoing projects and site works.
Executes the defined work packages / projects within the defined requirements (e.g. budget, time, functionality).
Ensures business success and satisfaction of the customer and ensures professional stakeholder management.
Ensures timely decisions on open issues, escalating if necessary.
Performs technical risk management and acts as interface to PM@Siemens, e.g. responsible for technical risks and opportunities.
Provides input into lessons learned for future proposal efforts and Non Conformance Cost evaluation measures.
Supports development of proposal resource library (both text and visual aids).
Investigates and provides recommendations on ways to further localize scope, improve processes and grow the business.
How can I qualify for the role?
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred
At least 5 - 8 years of work experience in an engineering role or as a site / field service technical expert
Relevant training in Project Management and experience in executing projects and bid preparation would be beneficial
Experience and knowledge of High Voltage transmission industry in Philippines and throughout Asia Pacific.
Positive attitude to work in challenging environment and in embracing high performance culture.
Understands cultural differences and copes with them effectively.
Strong competence in using IT Tools including Microsoft, SAP, and Salesforce applications.
Professional English required, where additional Asian languages will be a benefit.
Willing to travel within the Asian region and from time to time to Europe
