Job Description
The Node.js Developer is an active part of a team tasked with the maintenance and development of our client's software application and the management of data between the server and the users. This role collaborates closely with developers and product owners to develop specifications into new features, enhancements, and fixes. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.
The following is a list of general job responsibilities for the Full Stack Developer Consultant position. This list is not all-inclusive and may be broadened or changed as a result to meet changing business needs.
Development and design of APIs
Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
Design, implementation and maintenance of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
Implementation of security and data protection
Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
Integration of data storage solutions
Produce clean, readable, structured code that is easily maintainable and provides desired functionality, and that adheres to fundamental principles of Software Design
Perform testing/debugging of software applications
Participate in the various project development stages from inception to release
Work daily in an Agile environment with other developers, product owners and stakeholders
Communicate project progress effectively to both technical and non-technical peers and Management
Identify areas for improvement and contribute in a constructive manner to Peer Reviews and Paired-Programing projects
Produce technical Software Design documentation for projects, clearly setting out options and providing justification and proposed solutions
Work as part of a team to come to a common solution for challenges presented
Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent training, with experience in web development using Node.js with Express Framework
Knowledgeable in Authentication & Security using Ory API
Knowledgeable in implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests (SuperTest, Jest)
Must have experience in using Mongoose for integrating applications with MongoDB
Must have experience in using cryptography libraries or frameworks in NodeJS
Must have experience in managing and using different Databases (MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB)
Has a basic understanding of the entire software development process including design, development, and deployment
Knowledgeable in Git version control
Availability: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Philippine Time)
