Job Description
The AVP Trading is responsible in developing and executing Pilmico's business plans ensuring that all financial and non-financial goals based on approved plans are met on time. This position includes supervising day-to-day operations and concerns of commodity trading, quality control, regulatory, sales development, information services & communication and human resources to ensure effective and optimum use of available resources in these areas with the goal of enhancing over-all efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operational Management and Leadership
Ensure company meets targets set during annual strategic planning
Coordinate with support teams to ensure that appropriate resources are being developed to support over-all goals of the operating units
Encourage innovation in all fields of endeavor so the company becomes a recognized industry leader, and provides a high-level environment for its employees
Display high standards of honesty and trustworthiness in all relationships; ensure ethics and activities of trading team will be an example to other employees within the company, and safeguard the company's good reputation
Guide and direct trading team in their pursuit towards personal and professional development; develop and maintains open communications and substantial delegation of responsibility and authority to establish a productive and competent team
Ensure that all policies and procedures are regularly adhered and necessary changes are discussed and recommended to Management
Approve departmental budget and supports the management in adherence to budget
Review and make final approval and/or recommendations for CAPEX/OPEX based on approval authority
Relationship Development and Management
Ensure products and services meet the required standards of quality
Ensure availability of all traded products in consideration of cost, quantity, and quality to achieve highest possible margin
Update knowledge on costs, market, and value drivers of the company to develop strategic pricing and trading opportunities
Obtain regulatory approvals necessary to sell our products in domestic market
Lead sales development efforts including decision to identify and acquire new product variants
Maintain and evaluate existing distribution channels and explores possibilities of expansion of the same to ensure best strategy for the company
Design and implement of appropriate marketing strategies to support company's goal of having a customer centric organization with loyal and increasing customer base
Improve relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders
Ensure all collections are made appropriately from customers
Approve all legal contracts e.g., sales contracts which the company may enter into
People Management & Development
Create an atmosphere of accessibility with professional staff to address and overcome operating problems and difficulties
Conducts performance management for the team
Forecast hiring needs
Establish effective relationships with department heads to integrate various functions into productive corporate unit
Evaluate annual salary increases
Create and lead implementation of corporate-initiatives including but not limited to areas of culture building, branding and strategic planning
Qualifications
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
At least a graduate of Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration or Marketing or related course.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
At least 10 years' experience in sales or marketing with at least 5 years in managerial capacity
Sales development and regulatory experience highly desired
MINIMUM COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
