Fixed Assets Controller - AVP
Responsibilities:
Participate in the Fixed Asset and Initiative Expenditure Proposal oversight process
Manage the development of enhanced asset verification procedures, standardizing asset input
Implementation of Initiative Expenditure Proposal (Citi's initiatives/projects and its related expenditures) global oversight, including system development and testing
Provide subject matter expertise and global coordination between operations team, asset managers and regional finance leads, partner with key stakeholders across multiple locations
Evaluate the current processes to ensure an accurate accounting process, adequate controls, and efficiency are in place, as well as driving all system development implementations
Determining the needs of policy updates, responding to day-to-day accounting questions and inquiries, driving process and control standardization, and the development of improved monitoring controls
Support the management and control data flows to and within Finance applications to ensure integrity and completeness of data, preparing and recording financial transactions for legal vehicle and regulatory reporting purposes, updating the general ledger
Identify and correct any balance sheet substantiation issues by working with Reporting teams and business counterparts, or P2P team as appropriate
Provide reporting support including the development of enhanced financial reporting to provide better insight into key performance metrics, complex analytical reports, and financial analysis
The ideal candidate for this position:
5 years of experience in accounting with stakeholder management
Strong technical and data analytical skills using Microsoft Access and Excel
Ability to work with and organize a large amount of data
Knowledge and experience in P2P, REALM, TCAPS and other financial systems is a plus
Knowledge
Key competencies will include a mix of excellent analytical and problem solving skills, seasoned business judgment and attention to quality and detail
Good project management skills, be a self-starter who is able to work independently and be flexible enough to handle multiple tasks
Knowledge of Power BI or any other data visualization tool is preferred
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, Chartered Accountant or equivalent combination of education
