The Data Mgmt Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.
This position will help to ensure data sourced and provisioned by Data Services meets all required data quality standards. The Data Services analyst will assess, evaluate, and analyze data challenges and provide recommendations on their resolution. They will collaborate with an array of teams and groups, developing subject matter expertise and knowledge of industry practices and standards.
Responsibilities:
Implement and reinforce strong adherence to the standard operational, risk and control processes as it relates to Full Suite-Genesis Operating Model;
Manage and lead junior to intermediate level team members to deliver the following key activities:
Perform daily trend analysis of Operational Matching exception reports for integrated data flow between Full Suite and Genesis systems.
Review Operational Matching process exceptions (i.e., SGL orphans) and investigate root cause of exceptions
Identify both tactical and strategic remediation to resolve Operational Matching exceptions (SGL orphans)
Coordinate and support required execution of tactical data remediation of data quality issues in adherence to existing governance and controls framework
Identify appropriate strategic remediation of data quality issues
Perform end-to-end requirements management and end-to-end testing of Full Suite change requests as it relates to strategic remediation of data quality issues
Identify and ensure linkage of DQ issues to risk mitigants and strategic resolution
Manage and address data quality queries/issues on Full Suite-Genesis production data through proper acknowledgement and timely feedback to data users
Conduct second-level investigation on medium to complex data quality queries/issues on Full Suite-Genesis production data and propose resolution path (both tactical and strategic)
Escalate timely to appropriate resolver groups, e.g. technology teams, if data investigation requires expertise outside of the team, and follow through accordingly
Support data quality related control and operational activities to support overall data readiness for downstream systems' data consumer for local and US regulatory reporting
Effectively manage escalations from different stakeholders, and establish and manage partnership with key business counterparts: within EIO&T, GFTS Technology teams, and Finance & Risk Shared Services (FRSS)
Prepare and communicate production support related operational metrics and KPIs within EIO&T;
Manage, lead and support small to medium size projects and initiatives related to data services such as but not limited to process reviews and process efficiency enabler implementation;
Functionally lead, manage and supervise junior to intermediate level team members, support team collaboration, career growth, and mentorship.

Qualifications:
6+ years of relevant work experience around data management, data quality, financial or regulatory reporting, or product control in large financial services, consulting, shared services' operations related or similar industry; * 2 to 3+ years of leadership role and people management work experience is preferred;
Strong people management and conflict management skills;
Agile leadership or ability to adopt different leadership styles as called for by the situation;
Solid analytical skills, combined with an ability to deliver analyses in a concise and logical manner;
Logical and analytical data tracing/mining experience is a plus;
Knowledge of research methods, relational database or data relation discipline problem solving is preferred;
Intermediate to advance working knowledge and experience on MS Suite Applications especially around MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access;
SQL knowledge is highly preferred;
Knowledge of bank product/s (Deposits, Loans, Securities, Derivatives, etc.) is highly preferred;
Knowledge of Citi's financial and regulatory reporting processes, finance and risk systems including GENESIS, Full Suite, Product Processors, General Ledgers, Reporting Ledgers is preferred;
Knowledge of similar Quality Assurance / Citi Lean / Process Improvement practices (as applied to data quality operations);
Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving (error detection, root cause analysis, error correction), conceptual, analytical and decision making skills;
Good verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills - must be able to present and influence across organization level and functions;
Good project / time management and organizational skills; good attention to details;
Self-starter, proactive, quick learner, customer-focused with ability to independently manage work and drive multiple deliverables concurrently in a fast paced changing environment;
High caliber team player with good judgment, flexibility and productivity with good track record in establishing partnership and team work;
Ability to multi-task, demonstrating independent leadership skills;
Possess strong team building, planning and project management skills driven by process improvement;
Strong understanding and appreciation of internal control environment, reporting, and metrics is required
