Job Description:
Maintain and troubleshoot air conditioning and electrical system of the vehicle
Assist third party contractors.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs preventive maintenance and repair of the equipment.
Performs daily inspections of electrical and air conditioning system of vehicles.
Creates daily reports on status of air conditioning and electrical system of vehicles.
Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
Communicates with yard supervisor immediately if additional work is needed, parts need for replacement and repair time will be extended.
Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
Test vehicles with driver when required or refers to chief mechanic.
Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
Supervises work of apprentice technicians as assigned.
Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
Ensures that all vehicles cooling system are in good working condition.
Keeps 5S in motorpool area at all times.
Maintains and is accountable for all issued tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition they were received.
Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with safety, health and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and other environmental compliance.
Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
Assists third party contractors for outsourced services.
Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
Communicates with parts custodian and yard supervisor to obtain needed parts.
Other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
With NCII certification
Experience in troubleshooting and repair of Automotive HVAC system
Graduate of Automotive Engineering, Technical or any related course.
Experience in heavy equipment and trucks is an advantage.
