Job Description
Engaging clients and providing sketches, and the draftsmen will be required to complete the works and finalize the applications in accordance with BCA & ResCode Standards. Most the work includes finalizing working drawings for new units, houses, extensions, verandahs and also town planning applications which will essentially be dealt with through the council.
The job involves a lot of variations so constant changes for applications are required. The draftsmen will also be dealing with myself on a regular basis to ensure we complete the works as efficiently as possible.
Qualifications
A diploma of building design & drafting or similar.
Advanced AutoCAD use
Strong knowledge of the BCA & ResCode.
Producing accurate working drawings including relevant construction details (Technical drawings and product specification)
Updating drawings for any variations as per client requests.
Checking documentation to ensure compliance with building/ council regulations
Ensuring that all timeframes are met.
Updating drawings to suit external sources (such as structural and drainage engineers)
Excellent organization skills
