This is a remote position.ABOUT THE CLIENT:Our Client is a leading engineering and construction company in Papua New Guinea and a proud member of the Mineral Resource Star Mountain (MRSM) Group. The company evolved from a small local venture into a major enterprise, now employing over 500 skilled staff across multiple divisions and operating modern, fully equipped workshops.JOB SUMMARY:We are looking for a detail-oriented and AutoCAD Design Engineer to join our team in a virtual capacity. The successful candidate will create, revise and manage technical drawings and designs that support various engineering and construction projects. You will work closely with project engineers and managers to ensure that all drawings meet quality, accuracy and compliance standards while collaborating remotely with cross-functional teams.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop, modify and maintain 3D AutoCAD drawings and convert them into 2D drawings for fabrication and manufacture.Interpret design briefs, sketches and technical specifications into accurate and detailed drawings.Ensure drawings comply with drafting standards, dimensioning conventions and project requirements.Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other designers through virtual communication channels to meet deadlines and ensure design consistency.Prepare and maintain documentation such as Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawing registers and version control.Review designs for accuracy, constructability and compliance with applicable standards and safety codes.Participate in online design reviews and provide updates or revisions based on feedback.Support engineering change processes, ensuring all design modifications are properly documented and approved.Stay updated with the latest AutoCAD features, tools and drafting standards to enhance productivity and accuracy.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or related field.2+ years of proven experience as an AutoCAD Designer, Drafter, or Design Engineer.Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D (3D experience is an advantage).Solid understanding of engineering drawings, dimensioning standards and tolerancing (GD&T).Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation.Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote team environment.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines independently.Reliable internet connection and appropriate technical setup for remote work.BenefitsHere at Access Offshoring, we believe in more than finding our clients the right candidate.
