About the Role
As a Loan Research Analyst, you will be responsible for loan structuring, ensuring that a client's application fits with the lender's policy, and facilitating the loan application services with the proposed lenders.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Loan structuring
Ensuring a client's application fits with the lender's policy.
Ensure loan application services with the proposed lenders.
Working alongside the Relationship Managers to ensure a high level of Customer Service
Analysing information provided by brokers and clients to determine borrowing capacity.
Calling and emailing lenders to ensure their policy allows clients to proceed with the structure they want.
Preparing product comparisons.
Preparing handover checklists.
Answering clients' emails and calls that relate to all aspects of the research process.
Answering and discussing the assessor's decisions and concerns regarding applications.
Tending to client's requests for different numbers and scenario options
Other Activities
Order valuations
Order pricing requests
Assisting the Supporting Documents Team with queries relating to sufficient documents for assessment.
Feedback on process improvements.
Lender updates
About You
You have basic knowledge of all steps involved during the process of obtaining loans and you know the differences between interest only and principal & interest + LMI concept + lender's products and policies. You also have basic knowledge of the process between lodgment and settlement. You are organised and able to meet deadlines. You can solve conflicts by analysing the possible outcomes and looking for alternatives
Position Prerequisites
A certificate IV in mortgage broking or higher will be highly regarded.
Minimum 2 years of experience in the lending industry.
Experience with loan structuring and assessing complicated scenarios will be looked at favourably.
High confidence level and can communicate effectively with clients.
High attention to detail.
Enjoys process and repetition of work.
Self-motivated, ability to read and understand a brief fully, and clarify/confirm the direction.
Ability to maintain high-quality performance with varied deadlines and competing priorities.
A confident personality and willing to make decisions, own mistakes and make improvements.
