JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for verifying the existence of assets and ascertains that proper safeguards are maintained for the same, and for checking the reliability of the accounting and financial measures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Conducts surprise cash count on;
Cashiers' cash fund, sales for deposit and other accountabilities
Cash Register Clerks cash in drawer
Finance Disbursement Clerk's accountabilities
Credit Collection
Customer Service Receptionists' accountabilities
Other cash funds
2. Conducts compliance audit on general memoranda which are financial in nature.
3. Conducts departmental audit on accounting finance, counter and credit operations.
4. Ascertains the veracity of accounting and other financial data.
5. Suggests/recommends ways on hoe work done in each audited department/section can be improved (i.e. made more effective).
6. Prepares draft of audit programs/procedures.
7. Assists the Audit Supervisor in the performance of audit examinations.
8. Prepares reports on subject under examination for submission to the Audit Supervisor.
9. Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time.
